Since January 2024, I have worked in the Mechatronics and Robotics Systems Laboratory at Hilti, developing and validating control software and mechatronic prototypes in the robotics lab.
My test-engineering work spans mechanical, electronics and software development:
- designing and building test setups for mechatronic and robotic platforms,
- automating tests and long-duration data logging in Python,
- analysing test data to identify failure modes and feeding results back into prototype design,
- documenting detailed test procedures and results, including support for customer acceptance tests for Stop Assist for power tools,
- coordinating test and integration activities across mechanical, electronics and software engineers,
- working hands-on in the workshop with mechanical and electrical equipment to assemble mechatronic test setups and prototypes,
- contributing across five prototypes from simulation through hardware testing, including developing and validating control software.
My main development platforms are STM32, dSPACE and Raspberry Pi, with CAN, SPI, I²C and serial interfaces for sensor, actuator and system communication.
